Antique Victorian mourning hair comb. Five large oval faceted jet stones rise in a graduated crown formation from a scrolling openwork gallery. The stones are held in individual oval settings that emerge from the scrollwork frame like jewels in a tiara. Deaccessioned from the Valentine Museum, Richmond, Virginia.
